New Puppy Advise!!!
DollGoddess - 01-10-2009 0:35:14

I have got to say that having a new puppy is a lot easier than I thought it would be...I imagined many sleepless nights; torn up furniture already, and puddles of pee everywhere I looked!  Or maybe he's just getting comfortable first...ha-ha

The only thing I'm curious about is, does anyone know of a good way to train the little guy NOT to jump up & scratch on our pretty French doors when he's feeling lonesome or wants to come inside?  Normally we'd just let him do the habit & ignore it, with expectations that the ignored bad behavior would stop if not reinforced...But not to the detriment of our lovely door!

Any suggestions would be GREAT!!!

All I can say is watch your shoes.

All I have to say is, keeping a newly-neutered puppy from jumping and/or running is NOT an easy task.  This guy's going stir-crazy!!  And so are his mommy & daddy lol...Actually, today was pretty fun.  He rode around w/ us while we ran our errands & got some lunch.  We were the people with the pup secured to the chair sleeping under the table (outside!!!) as we ate.  Too much fun.  I can't WAIT for Pier Park concerts!
